Ana Rosa (b. 1980), graduated in Architecture and Pedro Farinha (b. 1977), graduated in Interior Design. We worked for several years in our respective fields, first in Porto and later in Lisbon.

Our work is collaborative: conceived together but generally carried out individually. It has been this way since our university days. Conversations and discussions about academic practice, project briefs, the world and the territory. It is since then that we have looked at the territory, examining its geographical characteristics, social structures, cultural practices and history.

To simplify, we could say that one of us (Pedro) views the territory as unspoilt, primal and original, whilst the other (Ana) sees it as built-up, structured and inhabited.

Technically, we explore a language involving the layering and collage of fabrics, which are subsequently painted, combined with translucent paint and hand embroidery.
